Rachel Dzieran is a distinguished Aerospace Physiologist and an engineering innovator with a profound career that bridges military service, academia, and biotechnology. She graduated from the United States Air Force Academy and served six years with distinction in the Air Force, specializing in Aerospace Physiology. Beyond her military tenure, Rachel boasts over twenty-five years of biotechnological expertise within Fortune 500 companies and co-founded a pioneering software development company focused on cutting-edge AI research.

Dzieran holds a Master in Engineering, specializing in Bioengineering, from the University of Dayton and is currently advancing her research as a Kummer Innovation and Entrepreneurship Doctoral Fellow at Missouri Science & Technology. Her PhD research in Systems Engineering is dedicated to bridging the Human-AI gap to enhance healthcare outcomes.

Rachel’s impressive certifications include Systems Engineering from the Missouri University of Science & Technology, Rolla, MO; Associate Systems Engineering Professional from INCOSE; and US Air Force Certification in Human Performance Factors, Aircraft Accident Prevention, Risk Management, and Instruction. She has also gained recognition as an international speaker, presenting on the future of Artificial Intelligence and emerging trends at IMPACT CEE 2024 in Poznan, Poland, a conference that unites innovation leaders to shape the global digital future.

Her academic contributions are noteworthy:

  • American Transplant Congress 2024: Awarded Best of Show for her poster presentation on "Fuzzy Associative Memory and Deep Learning Network Model Interface with Transplant Surgeon in Assessing Hard-to-Place Kidneys for Use in Digital Twin Model," co-authored with esteemed colleagues.

  • Conference on Systems Engineering Research (CSER 2024): Delivered a paper on "System-of-Systems Approach for Improving Quality of Kidney Transplant Decision-Making Support for Transplant Surgeons."

  • Council of Engineering Systems Universities (CESUN) 2023: Earned First Place for her poster on the same topic as her award-winning presentation at the American Transplant Congress.

Moreover, Rachel is the CEO of the Navy SEALs Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting all generations of UDT/SEALs, their families, and Gold Star Families. Founded in 2009 alongside her husband, Drago, the fund exemplifies their commitment to service beyond the battlefield.
